Enterprise ChM sp.z o.o. founded by Mikołaj Charkiewicz, has been operating continuously since 1981. For over 35 years, it has been designing, manufacturing and distributing system solutions for traumatology and orthopedics in cooperation with medical specialists around the world. ChM's products are exported to 35 countries on 5 continents. The company employs over 400 people.

Thanks to funding from the Operational Programme Smart Growth, the ChM company has created a Research and Development Center. The created center will allow to use the company’s development potential and will enable the development of innovative products. As a result, ChM will strengthen its market position. In addition, the Research and Development Center will allow gathering in one building all the company branches involved in research and development, providing them with the equipment necessary for effective operation.

The result of the company's research and development will be product innovations (in the form of interdental spine implants, vertebral and disc prostheses, minimally invasive spine stabilization systems, new types of implants for stabilizing bone fractures, medical mini-drives) and process innovations (in the form of 3D printing) , coatings modifying the surface of implants and bioresorbable composites).

What is more, the ChM company implemented another project, thanks to which the recently built research and development facility will be further developed. This investment was co-funded by the Regional Operational Programme.

They build a real competitive advantage on the market, the brand and the prestige of the company - said President Sobolewski.

The purchased research and development equipment will allow for conducting research on the production of the hip joint endoprosthesis system used in difficult, oncological cases where there are very large bone defects in the area of ​​both the pelvis and the hip joint, and the use of standard endoprostheses would not be possible.

The produced implants will then undergo specialist biomechanical, mechanical and biological tests to confirm the clinical safety of new products. The company will also develop a special packaging system for individual hip replacement elements.
