The project has enabled to use the natural environmental values of Supraśl health resort and the existing infrastructure of the Knieja sanatorium to meet the needs of the elderly. The therapy that takes place in the facility, is even more effective thanks to the natural conditions – lowland, mild climate, mud deposits, and surrounding forests of the Knyszyn Forest. The area belongs to the so-called Green Lungs.
The company has taken the advantage EU funds to established the Daily Care Home. Seniors can benefit from rehabilitation activities as part of their day stay. They are provided with care at least 8 hours a day, on all working days. The time and duration of stay are adapted to the needs of patients and their families. Qualified staff conducts medical activities such as rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and massages. The additional activities in the social and educational sphere are equally important. The focus is put on therapeutic activities, improving the memory and condition of the patients.
The company invested the grant in adapting the facility to the needs of the elderly and people with disabilities. The beneficiary bought the processional rehabilitation equipment, and included the photovoltaic installation.
