Ten new investment plots are waiting for entrepreneurs in the subzone of the Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone in Łapy. Works on development of the area were completed in May 2019, and on 12 July 2019, the official opening of the investment took place.
The project consisted in developing and preparing the post-industrial areas that previously formed the water and sewage tank of the former Łapy Sugar Factory. It was an area prepared for new brownfield investments.
In May 2019, Gmina Łapy completed the process of preparing ten investments plots, with the area of approx. 1 ha each. They have been equipped with the necessary infrastructure - including in sewage, sanitary and rainwater network, internal road with lighting. The second project was about rebuilding and renovating roads leading to the investment area, thus ensuring direct access to the areas. The investment concerned the construction of a municipal Nilski-Łapiński Street, and 2 sections of Cukrownicza Street. As part of the project, a sanitary network and a lighting line were built. Telecommunication equipment was also rebuilt.
The goal of the projects is to stimulate the development of a competitive local economy and its support by innovative technologies. The investment area of the Subzone in Łapy covers the area of 24 hectares.
