The kindergarten building in Kleosin was too small compared to the demand of the local community for places of care for children. Playrooms, bathrooms and a dining room needed refurbishment. Thanks to the grant from the Regional Operational Programme, the building has been renovated and expanded with a new part. In the new part, there were created four care and educational rooms and comfortable bathrooms. Children can now freely practice self-dressing in a larger dressing room. There is also a new canteen. Moreover, the teachers use the renovated teachers' room. Thanks to the project, preschoolers can use the larger dining room. New ventilation system has been installed. The building and its interior has been improved for the needs of disabled pupils.

Teachers and preschoolers use new furniture. Now, they can organise attractive educational classes with the aid of new audio equipment. To provide the children with interesting and developing activities, the kindergarten bought aids for speech therapy, corrective gymnastics and additional classes.

This is an example of an integrated project, which means that it consists of two parts: investment (renovation, extension) and the so-called "soft" part. Additional to infrastructure works, there have been provided new care places for 3-4 year olds and toddlers with disabilities. Preschoolers with development deficits took part in additional activities (for example with a speech therapist, psychologist). These classes helped them to develop and catch up with their peers. What is more, the teachers raised their qualifications during trainings. The workshops included the field of special education, didactics, art, and the use of music and movement in working with children. 135 children benefited from the activities under this educational programme. The classes were attractive: from English lessons to theatrical classes, in the field of entrepreneurship, sensoplastics (art using all the senses) and geometry. They were conducted in an interesting way, focused on the development of creativity and stimulating creative thinking.
