Thanks to the project, the students of Zespół Szkól Gastronomicznych in Białystok have gained competences tailored to their needs and suited to the requirements of the local labor market. The project is about young people studying in professions like: cook and confectioner, nutrition and catering technician and waiter. The project have involved 350 pupils and 20 teachers.
As part of the project, there were organised numerous internships at employers, vocational courses and courses that helped to increase the mobility of young people on the labor market. The students could benefit from modern career counselling. The goup of the most talented students receive scholarships.
What is more, the teachers have taken part in qualifying courses and post-graduate studies. The school has been also equipped with didactic laboratories. The "soft" part of the project will finish at the end of 2022.
The investment part of the project, was creating the Practical Training Center. It was rebuilt and equipped with modern school devices and aids. As a result, a modern training facility that meets food safety and quality standards was established. This part of the project ended in 2019.
