Health is one of the greatest values. Being healthy, it is easier to pursue your professional and family plans, make your dreams come true, be successful, and lead a successful social life.
This is the main assumption of the project implemented by the Medical University of Bialystok. The project, co-financed from RPOWP, concerns analysis and, as a consequence, improvement of health condition of the inhabitants of Podlaskie voivodeship. This task includes examining the health of working people, aged 25-50, living in our region.
Researchers from the Medical University of Bialystok want to analyze the risk factors of civilization diseases, which are the main causes of deaths in the Podlaskie Voivodship. The aim of the project is to improve the lifestyle, and thus eliminate the factors leading to the occurrence of civilization diseases.

The project includes training on disease prevention. The meetings are directed to employees from the primary health care sector, sanitary inspection, employers and health educators. Researchers want to assess health risks and then introduce preventive services in the workplace or in the primary care sector.
The activities are addressed to working population, who are covered by health risk assessment and health education. The organizers ensure a set of informative materials and convenient dates of the activities. More information can be found on the project website zdrowiewpracy.umb.edu.pl
