Students and teachers of the primary school in Ciechanowiec use green energy thanks to the installation of a heat pump and photovoltaic cells on the roof of the school sports hall. The project included a deep thermal modernization of the building. It consisted of: replacement of windows and doors, replacement of the gymnasium windows, insulation of the outer walls of the ground floor. The floor and walls of the hall have been insulated. The roofing was also replaced and the roofing over the entrances was built. The electrical works carried out allowed the school to use the modernized lighting.
Another project, implemented by the Ciechanowiec gmina involved the supply and installation of photovoltaic panels. The produced energy is used in 7 facilities. Institutions with new energy installations include:
- primary School in Ciechanowiec
- FARE in Ciechanowiec - water treatment plant,
- kindergarten in Ciechanowiec
- sewage treatment plant in Ciechanowiec
- building of the Volunteer Fire Department in Ciechanowiec
- primary School in Radziszewo Stary
- primary School in Łempice
Additionally, a ground heat pump has been installed in the building of the Primary School in Łempice. The strategic goal of this project was to improve the quality of the natural environment, mainly air. The implementation of these two projects will contribute to reducing the amount of air pollution. The effects of the project will be felt primarily by the inhabitants of the commune and voivodeship. The projects were implemented in 2020.
