Project title: Łomża - Śniadowo - reconstruction of voivodship road No. 677
Beneficiary: Podlaskie Voivodship
Project value: PLN 39,999,999.99
Dofinansowanie z UE: PLN 33,999,961.94 zł
The Konarzyce’s bypass, which is part of the modernized section of provincial road No. 677, was officially commissioned in January 2020. The investment was co-financed from European Funds under the Regional Operational Programme of Podlaskie Voivodship.
Konarzyce is a village adjacent to Łomża, and is a long built-up area. From the drivers' point of view, this area significantly slows down the ride on a four-kilometer section of the road. In turn, for its residents, intensive car traffic is very bothersome - it is a source of noise, air pollution and is associated with serious security threats. Local self-government officials did not hide their satisfaction with the investment. Mariusz Chrzanowski, the Mayor of the City of Łomża emphasized that each investment of this type contributes to the development of the Łomża subregion.
The project provided for the implementation of all necessary elements for the efficient, safe and more comfortable movement of all traffic participants, the implementation of an appropriate drainage system and reconstruction of the utility networks that conflict with the investment.
As part of the road reconstruction, the following work has been done:
- construction of a bicycle path with asphalt surface,
- construction of new and reconstruction of existing bus bays,
- construction of pavements in the area of bus bays and built-up areas,
- reconstruction and construction of intersections with municipal roads,
- construction of service roads with a bituminous surface.
