Gmina Lipsk applied for the grant under the Regional Programme to renovate and adapt the building of an old primary school.The project is a response to diagnosed problems in the social and economic sphere. The project is part of the so-called small revitalization, thanks to which the quality of life of residents will be improved by increasing the availability of social, cultural and recreational infrastructure.
As a result, the Local Activity Centre in Lipsk (LOLA) was established. Here, can take place educational, sports and cultural activities. The Centre gives the inhabitants of the local community the opportunity to meet and integrate.The project was implemented by the Gmina Lipsk, in cooperation with a social partner - Towarzystwo Przyjaciół Lipska. As part of the investment, the building of the former primary school was renovated and adapted. Local associations and organizations can use the facilities of the Centre for their statutory activities
The adaptation of the building for community purposes not only significantly improved the safety of the entire area, but also contributed to the improvement of the overall aesthetics of the place. This part of Lipsk is located within the historic area of the city.
