Project title: Modernization and extension of the sewage treatment plant in Rajgród and construction of the distribution water supply network in Rajgród
Beneficiary: Gmina Rajgród
Project value: PLN 6 822 318.00
EU grant: PLN 3 533 391.95
Rajgród municipality modernised and rebuilt a sewage treatment plant. It also built a 2.26-kilometer long waterworks. In comparison to the old system, the new treatment plant is able to take a double amount of sewage. Thanks to this, additional 1.3 thousand residents will be able to use the sewage infrastructure. And 345 people will benefit from water supply.
The sewage treatment plant is a modern facility. It uses technology that increases its resistance to interference. Additionally, although it does not have to be done according to the regulations, the plant will remove nitrogen and phosphorus compounds. Importantly, these additional functions did not result in the need to enlarge the treatment plant tank and did not significantly increase the investment costs.
The implementation of the project will contribute to the improvement of the quality of treated wastewater, and at the same time to reduction of the amount of untreated sewage and water loss.
