The reconstruction and modernization of the Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology Department of the Śniadecja hospital in Białystok cost almost PLN 11 million.
The renovation included technical and social rooms for employees, specialist clinics on the ground floor and rooms of the pediatrics department on the first floor. The hospital renovated also treatment rooms, doctors’ facilities and night duty rooms. Next, school and teachers' room located there were also included in the project.
There are 30 beds for children. All rooms are equipped with sanitary facilities. Parents of young patients can use the comfortable reclining armchairs so that they can be with their children during the time of illness. The project also included equipping the department with modern medical equipment, including ultrasound, EKG and holters. During the year, the Department receives around 400 young patients. The implementation of the project also allowed for the purchase of medical equipment for the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department. This included ultrasound machine, electrosurgical platform with a vessel closure system, 3D monitor for gynecological procedures, and a delivery bath.
The hospital is an entity supervised by the Podlaskie Voivodeship.
