The regional hospital in Suwałki modernized and rebuilt pulmonology and orthopedic departments. The hospital has created the Suwałki Pulmonology Center and the Suwalki Center for Orthopedic. Specialized medical equipment was also purchased, among others video fluorescence bronchoscope, equipment for fast and regulated fluid transfusion and defibrillator. As part of the project, the hospital was also equipped with a device for the diagnosis of breathing disorders during sleep, bone densitometer or biostimulation laser. Patients will also be able to use the cryotherapy machine.

Thanks to the project the inhabitants of Podlaskie have gained greater access to high-quality health care in the field of diseases that may cause vocational inactivity, which are diseases of the musculoskeletal and respiratory systems.
