The project carried out by the Hospital in Łapy was a large investment costing a total of over PLN 4.5 million. Most of this amount - PLN 3.2 million - was financed from EU funds under the Regional Operational Programme of the Podlaskie Voivodeship. Renovation works covered the dialysis centre and several specialist clinics operating in the hospital. A number of treatment rooms were also equipped.
The implementation of the project allowed for the renovation of the clinics: cardiology, orthopedics and trauma, tuberculosis and lung diseases. Next, treatment room and operating theatre in the trauma and orthopedic area gained modern equipment. Up-to-date equipment was also bought for the non-invasive heart examination laboratory and intensive care room in the internal medicine and diabetology department. The dialysis station has been moved and refurbished.
2.6 thousand patients are expected to use medical services at the hospital in Łapy each year. The reconstruction of the hospital took 2 years.
