Since 2018 there has been functioning in Suwałki a day support facility for children with educational problems. The centre offers support also to their guardians. The facility is run by the EGO Foundation, which implements the project entitled "Rebellious Angels".
The "Rebellious Angels" facility provides the youngest children with educational support and therapy by qualified specialists. Children aged 11-17 are admitted to classes. These are, for example, persons referred by their parents or under a court order, minors who have been subjected to crime prevention measures. The support is also provided to the disabled and other members of families. They often require help in developing their parenting skills.
Everyone can receive help from specialists such as psychologists, psychiatrists, educators, psychotherapists, and sexologists, whose task is to indicate the right path of development to the project participants. The classes bring out great features among the pupils. It is often only during their course that it turns out how great talents lie dormant in them. Children's art works are especially impressive.
The president of the foundation emphasizes that young people directed to the "Rebellious Angels" by court order initially come there stressed and with uncertainty. The first contact brings relief, satisfaction, curiosity, and then commitment. For this reason, the parents are also involved in the activities, and they observe the changes taking place in their children with their own eyes.
