Beneficiary: Gmina Dąbrowa Białostocka
Project value: PLN 1 380 000.00
EU grant: PLN 699 770.51
Dąbrowa Białostocka is the second largest gmina in Sokólski poviat. In the city center, at T. Kościuszki Square, there are two parks, but both were in deteriorating condition.
The parks are located in the historic area of the city. The authorities of Dąbrowa Białostocka, together with Foundation GAMA as a partner, implemented a project to improve the parks. Small scale revitalization was carried out. Old paths were removed and new ones built. Monuments were moved. A stage was built where artistic performances, cultural events and various meetings can take place. Such events integrate the local community.
The lighting of the squares was rebuilt, which increased the safety of residents. The greenery in the parks was taken care of. A fountain was also built, which became an attraction of the square. Renovated parks will become a place of meetings, rest, and social activation of the local community. This place is primarily intended for residents of Dąbrowa Białostocka, but it can also attract tourists and residents from neighboring towns.
The revitalization of parks will significantly increase the security of the entire area, as well as improve the aesthetics of the place, which is registered as monument of Podlaskie voivodeship.
