Sustainable urban mobility in Łomża

The city of Łomża has been implementing a modern system for urban mobility. This system will improve the life quality of the citizens and contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas and dust emissions. 

One of the key elements of the project is a modern transfer and communication centre. The first works related to the construction of the centre started in mid-August 2018. It covers an area of ​​approximately 3 thousand square meters. The station includes eight stands for long-distance buses and five stands for local transport. A glass roof of the station was also built. Platform benches are equipped with USB chargers and electrical sockets. The station building is a waiting room, ticket offices and a control room. 

The centre is an element of the project co-financed by the European funds under the Regional operational Programme. Thanks to the grant, the city will buy 11 natural gas buses and two electric buses.A bicycle rental system will be built with 15 rental stations for 100 traditional and 30 electric bicycles. Educational activities will also be carried out. The project will be completed in December 2022.
