Thanks to the financial support from the Programme, the hospital in Hajnówka modernised and equipped the operating block of the anesthesiology and intensive care unit as well as the X-ray laboratory. In addition, the hospital's Emergency Department was rebuilt.
This is a very important day for our hospital. We are putting into operation key areas of every hospital - said Grzegorz Tomaszuk, director of the hospital. He emphasized the importance of modernizing the operating theater and the anesthesiology and intensive care unit, calling this unit the "heart of the hospital".
The main goal of the project was to improve the quality, efficiency and accessibility to medical services in the field of general surgery, orthopedic trauma surgery, anesthesiology and intensive care, postoperative rehabilitation and pain treatment. The modernization included the construction works, purchase of medical devices and specialized equipment.
The total value of the project was PLN 9.7 million, while the co-financing under the Programme - PLN 6.5 million.
Modern equipment in an x-ray lab
This is the second project implemented at the hospital in Hajnówka thanks to funding from ROPPV. The investment consisted of replacing the RTG apparatus with a new one and purchasing a server for the purposes of archiving medical images. The undertaking is primarily aimed at diagnosing cancer.
The value of the project was approx. 986 thousand. while the co-financing from RPOWP amounted to PLN 712 thousand. zł.The Emergency Department also gained new life. The implementation of this project aims to improve the technical conditions for patients and reduce the time to provide medical assistance.
