The Social Assistance Centre in Mścichy, Radziłów, has been officially opened in September 2020. Sixteen people in need of support will find here 24-hour care.
The Centre in Mścichy was built in the building of the former primary school. The facility was expanded, equipped with all necessary infrastructure. It was adapted to the needs of the disabled. In addition to spacious and bright rooms, the residents will use the rehabilitation facility.
Krzysztof Milewski, the commune head, explains the idea of the Centre:
- It so happened that in the winter time, several people in our commune returned from the hospital after the treatment and there was a problem how to provide necessary services. The worst thing is when people are lonely or do not have the proper conditions - explained Krzysztof Milewski - This situation prompted us to open such an institution here - he added.
The investment was possible thanks to the European Funds as well as the funds from the state budget and the State Fund for Rehabilitation of Disabled People (pl. PFRON).
