Zero energy building

Project title: Zero energy building in modular construction
Beneficiary: UNIBEP S.A.
Project Value: PLN 4,475,345.11
EU grant: PLN 2,470,653.42

The Unihouse company will use the European Funds to develop and implement the manufacture of modules which are used to build multi-family houses. The buildings created with the use of such modules will be zero energy, which means, they will be self-sufficient in terms of energy. Zero energy houses have very low energy demand for heating, thanks to solutions such as heat recovery from ventilation and perfect insulation. This kind of building also doesn’t emit greenhouse gases, which means it’s eco friendly.

The research and development part of the project is focused on developing new solutions in the field of building insulation and acoustics, as well as improving its humidity and temperature parameters. A prototype of such building will be created as a result of the project, and later it will be tested in various ways. The tests will allow to check if the developed solutions work in real life and allow to improve them further.
